Position Summary:
Perform and assist in the performance of sample preparation and laboratory analysis including plant and animal tissues, water and soil; glassware washing; documentation of analytical results and quality control; general group and laboratory operations tasks. May be required to work with toxic, volatile, corrosive chemicals and/or carcinogenic substances; work in adverse environmental conditions; and carry and/or lift heavy materials.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience or course work in chemistry, biology, or any science lab related field.
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scientific principles, laboratory equipment, and software programs.
• Experience with specialized tasks and laboratory/field techniques for the position: operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and resolve basic problems with instruments and equipment.
• Experience with keeping records and compiling written information for reports.
• Experience with following good safety practices.
• Experience using good interpersonal and communications skills.
